REMOVAL

HINT:

  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM NO. 2 BRACKET DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN DOOR / HATCH: FRONT DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME REAR LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY DOOR / HATCH: REAR DOOR: DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia)+

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK

(a) Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.

(b) Move the rear door lock downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.

(c) Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the rear door lock.

(d) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.

(e) Remove the rear door lock remote control cable.

(f) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.

(g) Remove the rear door inside locking cable.
